Being Clams

Here are my pictures from being a clam. If I can master the editing/uploading software, there should be an audio track to follow.

Eagle Creek Hike photos plus

Here are more photos of Eagle Creek Hike.

Wander here, it's great.

I  just wanted to post some shots I took of a burnt out building sort of wedged between OMSI and Burgerking in SE. You can actually see the building driving over the hawthorne bridge. There is usually some interesting art on the walls, as well as the occasional artist, bum or shady photo shoot. It is easy to get into if you just walk over to the south side of the fenced area and find where the fence is sort of easy to slip through. This place has been here for a while and it sort of serves as a gallery for graffiti and the occasional installation. Bring  a camera, it's full of great shots.

Outdoor Attire

In lieu of our conversation about appropriate outdoor attire I thought i'd post these images of sports uniforms that our friend Caroline Woolard forwarded to us -

and it begins...

Wow, great wondering pic for the intro. I typically think of the wanderer as a loner, searching for something more. In this instance I feel we became a group... not necessarily wanderers, but a cohesive group... working toward a common goal; via swan island. We wondered... we overcame... we found the highway... we found more highway... and we found the........ Seven-eleven..... it felt like a Herald and Kumar movie.

My fascination is the group "wandering" dynamic. It is always difficult at the beginning, but I feel that classes like these really create a different group dynamic.....

.....PS... I've had too many beers on a Friday night.... goodnight all...see you Tuesday
